MOSCOW (MRC) -- The output of finished products from polymers in Russia decreased over the first six months of 2015 by 3.3% year on year. Polymer pipes accounted for the greatest fall in production, reported MRC analysts.
June production of key products from polymers in Russia rose by 6.7% from May 2015 on the back of seasonal factors. However, this figure was negative from January to June 2015.
According to the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, the June output of plastic pipes, hoses and fittings increased to 45,400 tonnes from 35,400 tonnes in May. However, the overall production of these products from polymers totalled 196,300 tonnes over the first six months of the year, down by 16.7% year on year.
Last month's production of non-combined and non-reinforced films exceeded 120,000 tonnes versus 117,000 tonnes in May. The overall output of these products totalled 566,400 tonnes over the stated period, up by 12.3% year on year.
June production of plates and porous sheets reached 21,100 tonnes versus 19,400 tonnes a month earlier. The output of plastic plates and porous sheets rose to 115,200 tonnes from January to June 2015, up by 4.1% year on year.
