MOSCOW (MRC) -- Dow Chemical has resumed ethylene production at its Plaquemine, Louisiana site, said Plastemart.
Outage at the light hydrocarbon unit No. 3, which has annual production of 725,000 mt, started in late May, and resulted in further tightening of the Louisiana ethylene market. "On June 11, our ethylene plant in Plaquemine, LA (LA-3) safely resumed operations," the source said.
As MRC informed earlier, in May 2014 Dow's Plaquemine site experienced two separate process incidents, which caused distruption of ethylene production at the companys LA-2 and LA-3 manufacturing units. During the week of April 20, ethylene production facilities at The Dow Chemical Company Plaquemine, Louisiana site experienced two separate process incidents.
