MOSCOW (MRC) - Production of finished goods made of polymers in Russia decreased by 1.3% in January - April 2015, compared to the same period in 2014. The biggest drop in the output occurred for the construction sector, according to MRC analysts.
April output of the key products made from polymers in Russia rose by 2.8% compared with the March level.
However, total production volumes in January - April this year have dropped. According to the Russian Federal State Statistics Service, April production of production of plastic pipes, hoses and fittings grew to 35,200 tonnes, compared with 32,100 tonnes in March. Total production of plastic pipes, hoses and fittings was 115,500 tonnes in the first four months of this year, down 24% year on year.
April output of unreinforced and noncombined films fell to 80,200 tonnes against 81,400 in March. Russia's production of unreinforced and noncombined films increased to 329,400 tonnes in January-April 2015, up 8% year on year.
April production of plates and porous sheets reached 18,500 tonnes, compared with 17,300 tonnes a month earlier.
Total Russia's production of these products grew to 74,600 tonnes in January-April 2015, up 10.7% than in the same time a year earlier.
April production of floor, walls and ceiling coatings made of polymers was 33.4 mln square m, compared with 32.5 mln square m. in March. Total production of these products in Russia increased by 9.5% and reached 161.2 mln sq. m in January-April 2015.
April production of plastic windows and window sills rose to 1.6 mln square m, compared to 1.35 mln square meters in March. Total production of plastic windows and window sills decreased by 20% in January-April 2015, compared with the same time a year earlier.
