NIZHNIY NOVGOROD (RIA Novosti) -- The first steps in construction of the biggest integrated polyvinyl chloride production complex ⌠RusVinyl in Russia are to take place on Monday in Kstov district in Nizhegorodskaya oblast. Launch of the production is scheduled for 2013.
RusVinyl LLC is a joint venture between Russian Sibur holding and Belgian SolVin to build a PVC complex in Nizhegorodskaya oblast. Output caapcity will be 330.000 tpa of polyvinyl chloride and 235.000 tpa of caustic soda. Investments into the project are going to total at about 40 bln. rubles.
According to the decision taken by Nizhegorodskaya Oblast Investement Board as of 2008, the project was granted a priority status; and it was included into the Russian Chemical and Petrochemical Industry 2015 Development Strategy by Russian Trade and Industry Administration.
