MOSCOW (MRC) - Eurasian Economic Commission plans to change the goods classification of Foreign Economic Activities (FEA) and the Common Customs Tariff from 1January 2017, as per MRC analysts.
Discussions of the bill "On amendments to the Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated 16 July, 2012 № 54" began on 18 April, 2016. The bill intends to change FEA classification of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Common Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union and their new edition from 1, January, 2017.
The changes include the expansion of the goods classification in many positions, including polymers.
According to the discussion, it is planned to amend the rules for determining the goods classification, including 39 group (polymers and polymer products, rubber and rubber products). It is planned to introduce a number of additional commodity sub-codes in foreign economic activity goods classification of the Eurasian Economic Union.
In particular, linear polyethylene, which contains more than 5% of copolymers, will have an additional code 0 3901 40 000 with zero import duty. It is planned to change customs tariff number for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polystyrene (PS).
All discussions are scheduled to be conducted within 20 days. All interested parties are invited to take part in the discussion.
