n April 2013, the acquisition from BP Recycling Systems GmbH (Reinach, Switzerland) of technology for making briquettes and pellets from municipal and industrial solid waste, biomass, plastics, textiles, glass, non-ferrous metals, and wood. As the technology acquisition was not brought to a conclusion Pallmann Industries wishes to clarify the current situation in order to prevent any further misunderstandings in the market.
Rolf Gren, General Manager of Pallmann Industries, says: "Although at the time of the announcement in 2013, Pallmann had every intention of proceeding, but a number of organizational and technological reasons for both parties caused the Pallmann Industries to reverse its decision. As a leading provider of recycling solutions, we are always looking for new and innovative processes. "Pallmann Industries apologizes for any possible harm that may have been caused to BP Recycling System GmbH by any uncertainty in the market."
As MRC informed earlier, BP Zhuhai Chemical Co Ltd in March 2015 started a new purified terephthalic acid (PTA). Located in Zhuhai, China, the plant has a production capacity of 1.25 million mt/year.
