MOSCOW (MRC) -- The company Unipetrol RPA, a member of Unipetrol Group, rented from the Administration of State Material Reserves (ASMR) free capacity available in storage in Nelahozeves, where the state has stored the emergency reserves of crude oil, reported the company on its site.
"The renting agreement is made due to necessary reduction of feedstock production for petrochemistry in connection with the recent incident in the petrochemical operation of Unipetrol RPA and the limited operating capacity of the refinery in Litvinov. We are using the tanks for short-term storage of unprocessed crude oil for the refinery in Litvinov," said CEO and Chairman of the Boards of Directors of Unipetrol Marek Switajewski.
Unipetrol can store up to a hundred thousand tonnes of crude oil in the tank.
"We closely monitor the situation in in the Litvinov refinery and because we have free storage capacities available, we satisfied Unipetrol and temporarily rented the," stated the Chairman of the ASMR Pavel Svagr.
Meanwhile, the renting is agreed until 31st October 2015 with a possibility of extension until the end of the year. Unipetrol RPA will pay monthly for the use of storage capacities over 4 million crowns. Empty tank is in the premises of the company MERO from which the ASMR has been renting these tanks for a long time.
