MOSCOW (MRC) -- Trinseo, the global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex and rubber has announced the increase in acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) prices in the Americas, reported the company on its site.
Thus, effective June 1, 2015, or as existing contract terms allow, the company will increase the selling ABS prices in the region, as follows:
- MAGNUM ABS resins - by USD.05 USD/lb.
This price increase is in response to escalating costs of key raw materials used in the production of ABS. It is in addition to all previously announced increases.
As MRC wrote before, Trinseo increased May contract and spot prices for all polystyrene (PS) and copolymer grades in Europe, as stated below:
- STYRON general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS), STYRON and STYRON A-TECH high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) - by EUR30 per metric ton;
- MAGNUM ABS and TYRIL SAN resins - by EUR60 per metric ton.
Formerly known as Styron, Trinseo has completed the name change process for most legal entities around the world. Some Styron companies are still completing this process and will continue to do business as Styron until their respective name changes are complete.
